It's Been A CLUSTERFUX Of A Week

Welcome, Bienvenue!
Proud Papa

Ladies and Gents, the eagle has landed. Earlier this week, Matt from Rat Nest Sticker Co. dropped-off 7 boxes of comics to my home here in North Hollywood. Seven boxes of my comics. As some of you are aware, I've been hard at work curating, editing, and publishing an underground comix anthology over the past year called CLUSTERFUX COMIX, featuring comics and illustrations from 10 talented contributors (myself included to balance out all the all-star talent). I'm a proud papa of a black & white clusterfux'd-up child.

As soon as I had the comics delivered, I opened up my online store and began promoting all over the internets. Immediately the orders started pouring in from friends, family, and strangers wanting to purchase my wares. I feel overwhelmed with the amount of support that's been shown to me so far, and that will no doubt continue to flourish in the coming months. The workers at the Post Office probably hate me for all the envelopes I've shipped over the past few days, but damn it feels good to be a gangsta.

With the first issue in the can, I'm hard at work curating and editing issues 2 & 3. Everything is on schedule, with issue two set to debut this Summer (alongside the first issue of FUGU COMIX), and issue three set for late Fall/early Winter. I have enough contributors filling out both issues, and have yet to decide when to open up submissions for the possible fourth issue. At the end of the day, it all depends on how they sell. The silver-lining to still being unemployed is I can focus all my creative energy on the comics, but once I get hired somewhere (there have been an uptick in Zoom interviews for me so far this year), the comics take a backseat. I am hoping that eventually a few smaller local conventions sprout up towards the end of the year when it's safe to do so, and I'd love to table and sell these to people face-to-face. My boyish charm has a history of moving units.

If you're interested in purchasing a copy, check out the COMIX section of the site. Here's a list of the creators: Brian Judge, Isaac Roller, Vickie Smalls, Erik Jasek, Cameron Zavala, Miguel Elias Aguilar, Robert Negoesco, Adam Yeater, Charlie Sisemore, and Cameron Hatheway.

Now to start the media tour! I have one podcast lined-up so far, and have sent review copies to a few websites and publications already. If you have a podcast and might be interested in having me on, shoot me a message and let's chat! I already received a touching shout out on 11 O'clock Comics last night (the best comic book podcast out there), and plan on shooting a retro video episode of Cammy's Comic Corner this weekend to help drum-up some more eyeballs.

If you've already purchased a copy, you have my eternal gratitude. If you're planning on it, take your time, I don't want to pressure you. All I'm saying is, I'm an unemployed white man with a gorgeous wife in Biden's America, so obviously I'm in the minority and persecuted on a daily basis at the moment. Just kidding, I chose this current horrible situation I'm in long ago, when I decided being an English major was a fantastic life choice.

And now, Dinah.
