Back From Sicily/Paris/Versailles!
Bonjour! Apologies for the lack of updates, but I was traveling abroad to Sicily for my sister's wedding, then off to Paris and Versailles for 2-weeks on a vacation with my lovely woman. While I didn't write anything in regards to fiction, I was flexing my non-fiction muscles and writing in my journal on a daily basis, both recapping my daily adventures while also pondering miscellaneous things (as well as new story ideas). It's a relaxing new hobby I've started, inspired by David Sedaris' THEFT BY FINDING, and Ernest Hemingway's A MOVEABLE FEAST.
Speaking of Hemingway, while visiting Paris I sought out his old haunts while he was living and working as an expat abroad with the rest of the Lost Generation. I'm a huge fan of Hemingway, so it was very exciting to see where he worked and played during his Parisian stay. Attached are some of the pictures of the various cafes, bars, and bookstores we visited. Oh, and I proposed to Amanda during our final day in Versailles, at the Temple of Love in Marie Antoinette's Petit Trianon. So hurrah for us!!
I'll continue to keep with the writing schedule and let you know of my progress. After I complete THE PATCH (about 70% done), I'll be focusing on completing several short stories I've been letting pile-up, and then really pursue submitting them to different publications. My next collection of short stories will be published by a publisher, not self-published again. That's my goal.
So that does it for this update. Enjoy the pictures, and I always welcome your comments/support! You all rock.
